The Hobbit 4 (2026)

Starring: Martin Freeman

Middle-earth returns again—but this time, it doesn’t feel like a journey back into comfort. It feels like something is waking up that was never fully defeated.

Martin Freeman returns as Bilbo Baggins, but this isn’t the curious, reluctant adventurer we once knew. He’s older, quieter, and carrying the weight of a world that keeps refusing to stay at peace.  The Shire feels distant now—like a memory rather than a home.

The Forgotten Kingdom introduces a darker layer of Middle-earth mythology, where ancient forces long buried beneath history begin to resurface. Dragons no longer feel like the peak threat—they feel like warnings.  Shadows spread across forgotten lands, and even the air feels heavier with something ancient and unresolved.

What stands out is the tone shift: less treasure-hunt adventure, more reflection on legacy, consequence, and what it means to leave history behind… only for history to follow you back.

The battles are massive, but it’s the emotional undertone that carries the weight—Bilbo confronting the idea that peace might only ever be temporary in a world shaped by old darkness.

Epic, somber, and deeply atmospheric, this feels like Middle-earth remembering things it should have stayed forgotten.
