Breaking: Iran Launches Massive Missile & Drone Strike

The Middle East has erupted into fresh turmoil after Iran unleashed a massive barrage of missiles and attack drones, targeting Israeli territory and several U.S. military facilities across the region. Air-raid sirens blared in multiple cities as air-defense systems scrambled to intercept incoming threats, marking one of the largest coordinated strikes since the conflict dramatically escalated.

According to Iranian military statements, waves of ballistic missiles and suicide drones were launched toward strategic targets including military bases, intelligence centers, and key infrastructure. Tehran claims the operation struck sites linked to Israeli weapons production and satellite intelligence operations, while additional missiles were reportedly aimed at U.S. bases in the Gulf.

Regional air defenses responded immediately. Fighter jets and missile-defense systems across Israel and several Gulf states attempted to shoot down the incoming projectiles, intercepting many before impact. Still, explosions and fires were reported in several areas as debris and some missiles reached the ground.

The attack comes amid the expanding 2026 regional war, which began after large-scale U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iranian military infrastructure earlier in the year. Since then, Iran has launched hundreds of ballistic missiles and thousands of drones toward Israeli and U.S. targets across the Middle East in retaliation.
