Israel Carries Out Attack Targeting Iran’s Oil Depots, Three Major Depots Destroyed

Massive explosions lit up the night sky over Tehran after Israeli warplanes carried out a wave of strikes targeting Iran’s oil storage infrastructure, destroying several major fuel depots and triggering huge fires across parts of the capital.
According to Iranian officials and international reports, multiple oil storage facilities and a petroleum transfer center in and around the capital were hit during the overnight attack. At least four large fuel depots were damaged, sending towering flames and thick black smoke into the sky that could be seen from miles away.
Among the sites reportedly struck were the Shahran oil depot in northwest Tehran, the Tehran refinery in Shahr Rey, and storage facilities in nearby Karaj in Alborz Province. Iranian authorities said several workers were killed and emergency crews rushed to contain the massive fires spreading through the fuel storage tanks.
The strikes mark one of the first times in the escalating conflict that Israel has directly targeted Iran’s energy infrastructure, a move analysts say could have major economic and military consequences. Israeli officials said the depots were used to support operations by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, providing fuel for missile launch units and military logistics.
