As they traveled along a forest road shortly after sunset, the crew noticed a bright golden light shining through the trees. Curious and concerned that it might be a fire or a crashed aircraft, the driver stopped the truck to investigate.

When they approached the clearing, the men reportedly saw a disc-shaped object hovering above the ground, glowing brightly and making a faint mechanical sound.

Despite the warnings from his coworkers, Walton stepped out of the truck and walked toward the mysterious object.

According to the witnesses, as Walton approached the object, a powerful blue-green beam of light suddenly shot from the craft and struck him, knocking him violently to the ground.

Walton claimed that after being struck by the beam of light, he lost consciousness and later woke up inside a strange room resembling a hospital. According to his account, he saw several small, bald humanoid beings examining him before he escaped and encountered other human-like figures wearing helmets.

His memory of the event remained fragmented, and he said he eventually lost consciousness again before waking up beside a highway days later.

Investigation and Controversy

The case quickly attracted national media attention. Investigators questioned the logging crew extensively, and several of them underwent polygraph (lie detector) tests, which reportedly indicated they were telling the truth.

However, many scientists and skeptics have argued that the story may have been a hoax or a misinterpretation of natural phenomena. Critics have pointed to inconsistencies in the story and the possibility of publicity or financial motives.
