Search Continues for Savannah Guthrie’s Kidnapped Mother

Authorities are continuing the search for Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Today show host Savannah Guthrie, who investigators say was abducted from her home in Tucson, Arizona, in the early hours of Feb. 1.

According to law enforcement sources, DNA from an unknown male was recovered from a glove found near Guthrie’s residence. The discovery is now a key focus of the investigation, as authorities work to identify potential suspects and establish a timeline of events.

Last week, the Federal Bureau of Investigation released surveillance images and video showing an armed individual wearing a mask outside the home. The suspect appears to be tampering with a security camera shortly before Guthrie disappeared, investigators said.

During a broadcast update, Savannah Guthrie addressed the abductor directly, urging them to “do the right thing” and bring her mother home safely. The emotional appeal came as family members and authorities stressed that the primary goal remains Guthrie’s safe return.

Officials say the investigation remains active and ongoing, with federal and local agencies coordinating efforts as new evidence is analyzed. Anyone with information related to the case has been urged to contact law enforcement immediately.
