Overview

Salt 2 (2025) picks up the high-stakes espionage saga of Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie), the elite CIA operative framed for global conspiracies. After the explosive events of the first film, Salt is now a fugitive with the agency and multiple governments on her trail. Her mission: prevent a catastrophic bioweapon from falling into the hands of a shadowy organization seeking to destabilize world powers.

She crosses paths with Derek Kane (Jason Statham), a former MI6 black-ops agent turned mercenary, who may either be her greatest ally or deadliest enemy. Together, they navigate a web of double-crosses, high-speed chases, and impossible assassinations spanning Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Idris Elba plays Director Reynolds, Salt’s relentless former mentor, whose loyalty is tested as the conspiracy unfolds. Charlize Theron appears as Vera Kozlov, a rogue operative leading the terrorist faction, while Pedro Pascal plays Marco Silva, a tech genius whose allegiance is anyone’s guess.
