RAMPAGE 2: EXTINCTION (2026)

Rampage 2: Extinction is imagined as the explosive sequel to the giant-monster action film Rampage, which was inspired by the classic arcade game created by Midway Games. The original movie starred Dwayne Johnson as primatologist Davis Okoye, who formed an extraordinary bond with a genetically altered gorilla named George. Together they fought against massive mutated creatures created by dangerous genetic experiments.

In a sequel titled Rampage 2: Extinction, the story would likely take place several years after the destruction caused by the first outbreak of giant monsters. Governments around the world have tightened regulations on genetic engineering after the catastrophic events that nearly destroyed Chicago. However, rumors begin to circulate that secret laboratories have continued experimenting with the same unstable technology.

Davis Okoye now works with international organizations to monitor illegal genetic research that could threaten global safety. His experience with George and the previous disaster has made him one of the few experts capable of understanding how these experiments can spiral out of control. Despite the precautions taken by authorities, a powerful biotech corporation secretly begins developing a new generation of engineered creatures.

Unlike the accidental mutations in the first film, the monsters in Extinction are intentionally designed as living weapons. Scientists attempt to combine DNA from multiple powerful animal species in order to create unstoppable predators. When a containment failure occurs, several of these creatures escape and begin spreading destruction across multiple regions.

George, the intelligent gorilla who survived the previous crisis, would likely return as an important ally in the story. His unique bond with Davis allows the human team to track and understand the behavior of the new creatures. However, these monsters are far more aggressive and unpredictable than anything seen before, making the mission far more dangerous.

The film would expand the scale of destruction beyond a single city. Massive creatures could appear in forests, coastal areas, and major urban environments, forcing governments to deploy military forces in an attempt to contain the threat. The world begins to realize that if the creatures continue multiplying, humanity could face a global extinction-level event.
