U.S. Navy Destroyers Launch Massive Tomahawk Strike on Iran as Operation Epic Fury Escalates

The conflict in the Middle East intensified dramatically as the United States Navy launched a powerful wave of cruise missile strikes against Iran, marking one of the most intense phases yet of the ongoing Operation Epic Fury.

Guided-missile destroyers operating in the Arabian Sea fired multiple Tomahawk cruise missile salvos toward Iranian military infrastructure. The missiles, launched from Arleigh Burke-class destroyer platforms equipped with vertical launch systems, streaked low across the water before turning inland toward pre-programmed targets.

According to U.S. military updates, the strikes were part of a coordinated campaign aimed at dismantling Iran’s missile capabilities, naval forces, and command networks. Since the start of Operation Epic Fury, American forces have reportedly struck more than 5,500 targets across Iran, including missile launch sites, naval facilities, and air-defense systems.

Naval Power Takes Center Stage

U.S. naval forces have played a crucial role in the operation. Warships positioned across the region have launched long-range missiles capable of striking targets hundreds of kilometers inland. Tomahawk missiles are particularly valuable in these operations because they can fly at very low altitudes and navigate complex routes to evade radar defenses.

Defense officials say the initial waves of naval strikes targeted Iranian naval infrastructure and missile launch platforms along the Persian Gulf coastline, a key element of Tehran’s strategy to threaten shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
