At the end of the first film, Jaguar Paw escapes with his family.
On the beach, he sees strange ships coming from the ocean.
Men wearing armor arrive on the land.
They are not from the jungle.
They are from another world.
The age of the old civilization is ending.

Spanish conquistadors begin exploring the land.
Villages disappear.
People are captured.
New diseases spread.
Tribes that once fought each other must now survive together.
Jaguar Paw must protect his family again.
But this time the enemy has guns, horses, and steel weapons.
