The story is inspired by the real female warriors of the Kingdom of Dahomey (located in modern Benin).
 The Agojie Warriors
The film follows Nanisca, the fearless general of the Agojie, an elite all-female group of warriors who served as the military force protecting Dahomey in the 1800s.
These warriors were highly trained, disciplined, and extremely loyal to their kingdom.
They were known for their strength, bravery, and powerful fighting skills.
 A Kingdom Under Threat
The Kingdom of Dahomey faces powerful enemies from rival tribes who want control of the land and resources.
At the same time, European traders are expanding the slave trade, threatening the future of the people.
General Nanisca begins training a new generation of Agojie warriors to defend the kingdom and fight for their freedom.
