Harry Kane scored twice again and Bayern Munich opened an 11-point lead in the Bundesliga with a 3-2 win at Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker on Saturday.
Joshua Kimmich let fly with his left boot to score the winner with a volley in the 87th minute, just four minutes after Daniel Svensson equalised for Dortmund with a brilliant volley inside the left post. Nico Schlotterbeck put Dortmund 1-0 up at the break, but Serge Gnabry set up Kane’s response and the England captain got his second from the penalty spot – after a foul by Schlotterbeck on Josip Stanisic – to take his league tally to 30 goals this season.
Kane has scored two goals or more for the fourth successive game and is threatening Robert Lewandowski’s season record of 41.
Werder Bremen finally ended their 13-game run without a win in the Bundesliga by beating relegation rivals Heidenheim 2-0 in their bottom-of-the-table scrap. Bremen missed a host of chances before Jovan Milosevic scored from Romano Schmid’s cross in the 57th minute, and an own goal from Hennes Behrens in stoppage time confirmed Bremen’s first win after three defeats under their new coach, Daniel Thioune. It was enough to lift Bremen above Wolfsburg into the relegation playoff place. Wolfsburg, who haven’t won any of their past six games, visit Stuttgart on Sunday.
Heidenheim remained bottom, nine points from a safe position after St Pauli held on for a 1-0 win at high-flying Hoffenheim. Mathias Pereira Lage scored for St Pauli before the break, lifting the Hamburg-based club out of the relegation zone after their third win from four games.
Kevin Diks scored a stoppage-time penalty for Borussia Mönchengladbach to beat Union Berlin 1-0 and end Gladbach’s seven-game winless run. Jarell Quansah scored late for Bayer Leverkusen to salvage a 1-1 draw with Mainz, canceling out Sheraldo Becker’s second-half volley. But the draw was a blow to Leverkusen’s hopes of reaching fourth place in the race for Champions League qualification. Leverkusen remained sixth, and both Stuttgart and Leipzig could pull further away. Leipzig visit Hamburg on Sunday.
Lamine Yamal scored the first hat-trick of his career as Barcelona beat visitors Villarreal 4-1 to move four points clear of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga. Barcelona have 64 points while second-placed Real are on 60 points before they host Getafe on Monday. Villarreal remain a distant third on 51.
Lamine Yamal put the hosts ahead in the 28th minute after Fermin Lopez robbed Pape Gueye and slipped a pass down the right for the 18-year-old to finish low inside the left post. He doubled the lead nine minutes later with a dazzling solo run, controlling a long ball on the right wing before cutting inside past Sergi Cardona and Alberto Moleiro to curl an unstoppable shot into the top corner.

Gueye pulled one back from close range in the 49th minute, but Villarreal missed chances to equalise and paid the price as Lamine Yamal completed his hat-trick in the 69th minute with another counterattack. Robert Lewandowski came off the bench to add a fourth in added time, tapping in from Jules Koundé’s low cross from the right.
Julián Alvarez struck in the 94th minute to snatch Atlético Madrid a 1-0 La Liga win over bottom side Real Oviedo and help his team climb to third. The Argentinian striker secured Diego Simeone’s side only their second win in five league games with his first league goal in nearly four months.
The Rojiblancos had an eye on Tuesday’s Copa del Rey semi-final second leg at Barcelona, where they hold a 4-0 advantage, and were extremely fortunate to emerge with three points. The cruel ending left Oviedo eight points from safety.
Inter moved 13 points clear at the top of Serie A with a comfortable 2-0 home win over lowly Genoa thanks to goals from Federico Dimarco and Hakan Calhanoglu. Inter have 67 points from 27 games, ahead of second-placed Milan, who visit relegation-threatened Cremonese on Sunday.
Dimarco put Inter ahead just past the half-hour mark with a sublime finish into the far corner from a tight angle on the left after a clever lofted pass from Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Calhanoglu wrapped up the points in the 70th minute with a precise penalty after a handball by Genoa’s half-time substitute Alexsandro Amorim to give in-form Inter their eighth consecutive Serie A win and 14th victory from their last 15 league games.
Romelu Lukaku’s first goal of the season with the last kick of the match ended Napoli’s winless run. Lukaku, who had played just 41 minutes this campaign after a serious preseason thigh injury, pounced in the sixth minute of stoppage time to help Napoli win at bottom club Hellas Verona 2-1. He appeared to tear up when the final whistle blew seconds later. His last goal was on 23 May and was followed by a terrible few months. Shortly after his torn thigh, his father died suddenly in September at 58.
“On a personal level soccer gives you a lot. It has given me everything but losing my father like I lost him weighs on me every day,” Lukaku told Dazn while struggling to hold back tears. “But it is what it is and I carry on for my daughters, for my brother and for Napoli which has given me so much.”

Napoli got off to a great start as Rasmus Højlund’s looping header from 12 meters gave them the lead after less than two minutes. However, Højlund was also involved in the equaliser in the 65th. He attempted to clear a Verona corner but it came out to Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro, whose shot was deflected in by Højlund. The goal was credited to Akpa Akpro as the initial shot was on target.
In France, Paris Saint-Germain extended their Ligue 1 advantage to four points with a 1-0 victory at Le Havre thanks to a first-half goal from Bradley Barcola. PSG lead second-placed Lens, who have stumbled over the last seven days with a 3-2 home loss to Monaco last weekend and a 1-1 draw at Racing Strasbourg on Friday.
PSG now have nine wins from their last 10 league games but it took 37 minutes for Barcola, in an unfamiliar centre-forward role, to break the deadlock by heading home a Lee Kang-in cross. Lee missed a good chance to double the score two minutes later and two minutes after that Dro Fernández, recently signed from Barcelona, had an effort disallowed for offside. Désiré Doué should have made it 2-0 from the penalty spot in the 79th minute after being tripped by Lucas Gourna-Douath, but his effort was saved by Mory Diaw.
Le Havre, who stay nine points above the relegation zone in 13th place, struggled through most of the match but had a chance to equalise in the 54th minute when Issa Soumaré’s shot on the turn forced Matvey Safonov into a sharp save.
