The circle of life continues… but this time, a new legacy is born. In The Lion King 3 (2025), the story shifts to the next generation of the Pride Lands. With Simba (Donald Glover) now ruling the kingdom, the balance of nature is threatened by a new, unforeseen danger — one that challenges everything Simba holds dear. His son, Kion (voiced by an emerging young star), must rise to the challenge of protecting the Pride Lands, forging alliances with new characters and facing threats from both within and outside the kingdom.

The teaser opens with Simba standing atop Pride Rock, gazing at the horizon as the sun sets. The familiar voice of Mufasa (James Earl Jones) echoes in Simba’s mind: “The past is never gone. It lives in you.” Quick flashes follow: Kion training with his friends, the return of old allies like Timon and Pumbaa (Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen), and a looming shadow that threatens to cast darkness over the Pride Lands. The action intensifies as new and more dangerous creatures appear, and Simba must decide how far he is willing to go to protect his family and legacy.

The animation combines breathtaking landscapes, breathtaking visuals, and epic musical scores, blending the traditional African rhythms with orchestral arrangements. Beyoncé’s character, Nala, has grown into a fierce protector and partner to Simba, and her powerful voice leads a haunting new song that builds emotional depth.
